I haven’t posted in a minute! I got a full time job! And have been busy busy busy! It is such a welcomed change riding my bicycle to work everyday, even in the rain. My hair gets a little messed up and it’s hard to see through soaked glasses, but I will take it over the 30 minute commute with aggressive jerks on rt 78 in NJ.
I’m still working on finding public trans to the beach (the lowcountry loop map on their website doesn’t make sense to me. It says it goes downtown but the map only shows Mt. Pleasant?) We did bike to Sullivan’s island last weekend-my first time going over the Arthur Ravenel bridge on my bike.
I am out of shape. It’s def. a little tough making it up the incline, but it’s so worth it once you get to the top and catch your breath while taking in the view. Then, of course, there’s the super fun and revitalizing downhill part. We ate at Taco Mamacita which was amazing. Their strawberry coconut mojito is one of the best beverages I’ve ever had and I’m just going to throw this out there: I like their tacos way better than Taco Boy’s. SORRY NOT SORRY.
Yesterday we did the First Friday Art Walk. I admit I was initially in it for the free wine, but we got to see some amazing paintings and met some fabulous characters. I am finding that there are a ridiculous amount of talented painters in this city. It makes sense, Charleston is absolutely gorgeous and very inspiring.
Making my way back home on King Street
Brian’s face looks very 8-bit here like his mega man shirt.
Happy Pride Charleston!
